Capbreton. Waves and fresh fish

Time to leave the city and get closer to the coast.

Late breakfast in Les Landes forest

Next stop Capbreton! I was there many years ago. I remember this place as a beautiful small town, very lively, with a strong surfing tradition and a very good fish market.

Like its neighbour Hossegor, Capbreton gets very busy, especially in summer, however in September the tourism decreases.

We found a parking to stay for free, walking distance from the beach and with a surfboard renting spot close by.

I fell in love with this place again, the beaches are so beautiful!

So, what to do?

Surf and more surf

⁃ Visit the daily fish market

⁃ Walk around. The entrance to the port is quite amazing, and if you walk to town, there is a pedestrian street where you can find the ‘Café Librairíe Levent Delire’, a very cute bookshop with nice postcards and much more.

⁃ Enjoy the nude beach and play with the waves 🙂

Tomorrow the weather forecast announces rain. It will be time to leave… We had a really nice time in Capbreton. 100% recommended.

Next stop: Hondarribi !
